On Friday, August 14, 2015 Doug Stuive and his team at MNP hosted their annual Back to School Charity BBQ. Despite the morning downpour, it was a fun filled afternoon which highlighted the spirit of our community. Through sales of the barbeque lunch and individual donations, MNP raised $2,550 and collected five full barrels of back packs, sneakers and school supplies. This is MNP’s third annual Back to School Charity BBQ held in support of Community Care and what is now known as their Jump Start Snacks ‘n’ Sneakers program. This program provides peanut -free snacks, school supplies and sneakers to school aged children in need. These generously donated supplies help to empower children in the community for success in the classroom. Donations collected at this event contribute directly to the program and an estimated 1,200 children who access the program in Niagara. “MNP’s annual Back to School Charity contributes significantly to the success of our back to school program. It would be difficult to help the number of children who rely on this service without the community’s support”- Betty Lou-Souter, CEO, Community Care At MNP, we understand that members of our communities face financial hardship every day. For this reasons, we work to create tailored, life-changing debt solutions that help individuals achieve financial freedom. We are proud to support and help contribute to this great cause.
