I’d like to share my experience with MNP with the hope that it will be able to help someone find the peace of mind and the self-worth that MNP helped me with when I was at my very lowest point in life. I don’t think anybody purposely plans for financial failure, but life can be full of surprises. For me, it was the three-plus years of continual medical treatments and surgeries that I was unable to work through to support my family. With very limited health insurance and a small CPP disability benefit as my only means of income, I severely over-extended on my credit cards and lines of credit, just for paying the bills and buying the necessities of life. Soon creditors were demanding monthly payments that I could simply not afford and they seemed unwilling to work with me by accepting what I could give them for monthly payments. They seem to have a pretty good way of making you feel like you are worthless and by this point, that is how I was feeling. That is when I made the call to MNP. After a few relevant questions, they had some options for me and after speaking with them a few times and supplying them with the necessary information, they were able to determine the route I needed to take to get my life turned around and back on track. They took over everything. The constant calls from creditors stopped and we finally had a plan that we could work with. It was like being able to breathe again. It took a year of detailed monthly paperwork to be completed as well as a manageable debt payment plan, but right through it all, any questions we had were answered in a way we could understand and we were treated with respect I hadn’t known for a long time. I’m still rebuilding my life today but I learned a lot from the whole experience and I credit MNP for that with a heartfelt thank you to their whole professional staff.
